TULSA, OK – A 20-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving an SUV that occurred along the Arkansas River on Monday, News on 6 said.
Preliminary details show the 20-year-old man was on a ride (joined by other motorcyclists) and going at a high rate of speed on northbound Riverside Drive when he collided with a Nissan Pathfinder SUV turning onto eastbound 31st Street from southbound Riverside Drive.
The male motorcyclist did wear a helmet, but unfortunately died from his injuries.
It appears the female SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was evaluated and treated on the scene by medics. Police said they questioned the driver and released her pending further investigation.
OKC fire crews extinguish big rig fire on I-35
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City fire crews extinguished a big rig fire on Interstate 35 near Northeast 36th Street on Monday.
According to OKCFOX, the big rig had jackknifed before catching on fire. A photo showed the truck completely charred and standing below a low-clearance bridge. The Emergency Medical Services Authority also responded to the scene, but did not say if anyone was injured.
The cause of the fire and crash is under investigation.
On a similar note, a fiery collision also occurred on Interstate 35 along Northeast 36th Street. This crash occurred on Friday and involved a semi-truck, tractor hauling a brush hog, and a Jeep. The tractor and semi-truck collided, and two people were sent to the hospital as a result.
1 injured in three-vehicle crash in Tulsa’s Milwood Estate
TULSA, OK – One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Tulsa’s Milwood Estate neighborhood on Monday.
A photo from KTUL showed a tow truck preparing to tow away a white SUV, with several crew members working to clean up crash debris.
No citations were reported. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
I-35 South near Pauls Valley closed due to semi-truck crash
PAULS VALLEY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol shut down Interstate 35 South along mile marker 74 due to a semi-truck rollover crash on Tuesday.
OHP said the semi-truck crashed and overturned, causing it to spill sand all over the southbound lanes, according t0 News9.
Officials had no choice but to close all of the southbound lanes and redirect southbound traffic to Kimerblin Road to allow crews to clean up debris from the crash.
The driver does not appear to be injured, and the cause of the crash is being determined.
At least 1 hurt in traffic collision along OK Christian University
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was hurt in a traffic collision that took place along Oklahoma Christian University on Tuesday.
According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the crash happened before 1:15 p.m. on the 2320th block of East Memorial Road.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not specify the severity of injuries sustained or whether anyone was cited or arrested.
A full investigation is underway.
OHP summoned to vehicle crash in OKC’s Apple Valley
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol was summoned to a vehicle crash in OKC’s Apple Valley neighborhood on Tuesday.
OHP was called to the intersection of North Sooner Road and East Britton Road and pulled up to the scene before 12:45 p.m., the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reports.
