NEAR PERRY, OK – According to new information from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the 62-year-old woman who was killed in a crash on Wednesday near Perry was a pedestrian, not a driver.

OHP told Koco that the collision happened before 2 p.m. on Interstate 35. The 62-year-old woman had reportedly walked in and out of traffic when she was struck by a travel bus carrying the Oklahoma State University softball team.

The bus driver told troopers that they tried to switch lanes to avoid hitting the pedestrian, but were unable to avoid a crash.

The pedestrian, an Oklahoma City resident, died from her injuries. The OSU team was uninjured. At the time of the collision, the team was heading to a softball game against Wichita State University’s softball team. That game has since been postponed.

Person’s life claimed in two-pickup truck collision near Durant

NEAR DURANT, OK – A person’s life was claimed in a two-pickup truck collision that happened in Durant on Thursday, KTEN reports.

The incident unfolded before 9:30 a.m. on State Highway 48/78. Preliminary details show a person driving a 2013 red Ford pickup truck with an attached trailer was making a right turn onto a private driveway when they collided with a gold 2003 Toyota pickup truck.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver of the gold truck was driving on an outside shoulder when they crashed into the red pickup truck. The impact of the collision caused the gold truck to overturn, and its driver, who did not wear a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle.

The driver of the gold truck died from their injuries, while the driver of the red pickup truck was uninjured.

OHP has not confirmed the decedent’s age, gender, or place of residence.

A full investigation is underway.

Female pedestrian killed in crash involving train near Pauls Valley

NEAR PAULS VALLEY, OK – A female pedestrian died after she was struck by a train near Pauls Valley on Friday, News9 said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash occurred near U.S. 77 and County Road 1610. The woman and another person were walking on the train tracks when a passing train approached.

The other person was able to get off before getting struck, while the woman stayed on the tracks and was hit by the train.

The woman died from her injuries a short time later.

OHP has not released the woman’s name and is actively working to determine the events leading up to the collision.

First responders dispatched to rollover collision on I-35 outside Goldsby

NEAR GOLDSBY, OK – First responders were dispatched to the scene of a rollover collision that happened on Interstate 30 outside of Goldsby on Friday.

KOCO video footage showed a white overturned sedan and a gray sedan, with a busted rear window on the grassy shoulder.

Officials closed the left lane to allow tow truck crews to remove the overturned car and gray sedan and for EMS personnel to render aid to the involved occupants.

Significant traffic delays followed as first responders worked to restore safe road conditions.

Tow truck crews have since removed both vehicles.

Authorities have not disclosed the events leading to the crash or reported any injuries or citations for the involved drivers.

OK DPS investigates injury collision in Uptown OKC

UPTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is investigating the details behind an injury collision in Uptown Oklahoma City on Friday.

The crash occurred before 11 a.m. at the intersection of North Robinson Avenue and West Eubanks Street, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker.
