NORMAN, OK – A Norman Police officer was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash that happened outside the University of Oklahoma on Tuesday. 

The two-vehicle crash occurred before 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Classen Boulevard and Drake Drive, OKCFOX said. 

Norman police did not say if the officer was on duty or off duty when his vehicle collided with another. Although they did say that he was hospitalized for serious injuries, and was later released on Wednesday. 

The other driver involved was uninjured. 

Police have not disclosed the events leading up to the crash or said if anyone was cited or could face charges.

Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run vehicle in SW OKC

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A female pedestrian died after she was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Southwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Southwest 59th Street and South Western Avenue, according to News9.

A driver of a dark colored vehicle struck the female pedestrian before fleeing the scene prior to first responders’ arrival, OKCFOX said.

Oklahoma City Police pulled up to the scene before 6 a.m. and declared the female pedestrian dead at the scene.

Police shut down the area for a few hours the scene clean-up process and overall investigation.

Police believe the hit-and-run driver continued driving west and are actively searching for the suspect.

At this time, police have not released a description of the suspect and are continuing their investigation.

Critical injuries sustained in vehicle-pedestrian collision in NW OKC 

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A person suffered critical injuries as a result of a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Northwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday, KOCO said.

The person was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area of Northwest 96th Street and Western Avenue. The incident happened around 7 a.m. and warranted a response from EMS crews, who transported the pedestrian to a hospital.

The pedestrian is continuing to recover from critical injuries.

Oklahoma City Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene, but did not say if they were cited or could face charges for their involvement in the crash.

SW OKC crash claims one life, injuries 2 others 

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One life was claimed, and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Southwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

The collision occurred before 8:30 a.m. in the area of South Western Avenue and Southwest 112th Street, KOCO reports.

The two people who survived are recovering from critical injuries.

Oklahoma Police blocked off traffic and told drivers to consider alternative routes as officials worked to clean up the area.

OHP dispatched to injury collision on I-40 in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol and ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene of an injury collision that happened on Interstate 40 East on Wednesday.

The crash took place near Portland Avenue, KOCO reports. One car was loaded onto a tow truck and removed from the scene.

Police did not confirm how many people were injured or disclose their physical conditions.

Authorities are working to determine the events leading up to the crash.

At least 1 injured in vehicle accident in OKC’s Midtown

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident that happened in Midtown on Wednesday.

According to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the intersection of Northwest 4th Street and North Hudson Avenue.

DPS arrived at the scene after 12:30 p.m. While troopers did not report any lane closures, they likely told drivers in the area to proceed with caution or seek alternative routes to allow crews to clean up debris from the crash.

The extent of injuries and the number of people and vehicles involved have not been reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
