TULSA, OK – A construction worker died after getting hit by a trash truck in a construction zone on Highway 75 near 51st Street on Friday, KJRH reports.

Tulsa Police confirmed the trash truck was operated by another construction crew worker and said the worker who was struck succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Police are continuing to investigate the details behind this deadly collision.

Firefighters hospitalized following wrong-way crash involving big rig near Lovell 

NEAR LOVELL, OK – Two firefighters were taken to the hospital following a wrong-way crash involving a big rig near Lovell on Friday. 

Oklahoma Highway Patrol told News9 that a big rig driver was driving north on southbound State Highway 74 when they crashed into a fire engine truck, injuring two firefighters inside. 

OHP said the incident happened near E0640 Road and said the firefighters were going back home after helping out with storm damage recovery in Enid. 

EMS crews transported the two firefighters to the emergency room for treatment. Their physical conditions remain unknown. 

Authorities shut down the area to allow transportation workers to remove the impacted vehicles, clean up debris, and for OHP’s investigation. 

No other details concerning the wrong-way crash have been released. 

Man, 69, dies several days after rear-end collision in Love County

LOVE COUNTY, OK – A 69-year-old man from Marietta died several days after a rear-end collision that happened earlier this month on State Highway 32 West in Love County, KXII said.

OHP said the incident unfolded on Wednesday, April 8, when the 69-year-old male driver rear-ended another vehicle that was waiting to turn onto a private road.

First responders rushed the male driver to Medical City Plano. The man later died from his injuries last Friday, April 17.

Officials did not state the specific crash location or mention any contributing factors that led to this fatal rear-end collision. 

At least 1 injured in vehicle accident in NW OKC 

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a vehicle accident in Northwest Oklahoma City, reported after 11:30 a.m. on Friday. 

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the intersection of North Council Road and eastbound Northwest Expressway, according to the OKC Response & Accident Tracker

Authorities have not specified the extent of injuries sustained or said whether they cited or arrested anyone for their involvement in the collision. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

DPS dispatched to collision in OKC’s Shields Davis neighborhood

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a traffic collision on Friday, according to OKC Response & Accident Tracker.

The crash happened after 1 p.m. on the 30th block of Southwest 50th Street in the Shields Davis neighborhood, the OKC Response & Accident Tracker reveals.

DPS has not reported any injuries or citations.

Officials are working to determine the cause of the crash.

DPS investigates injury vehicle accident outside INTEGRIS HEALTH 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is investigating the details behind an injury vehicle accident outside of INTERGIS HEALTH Baptist Medical Center.
