SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 16-year-old teenage girl had to go to the hospital following a rollover crash that happened east of Will Rogers International Airport on Friday.
A car crashed and overturned around 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast 89th Street and Shields Boulevard, according to News9. EMS crews hurried to the scene and rushed the teenage girl to a hospital for treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries.
Oklahoma City police have not specified how the crash happened or whether the 16-year-old was a driver or passenger.
A full investigation is underway.
OKC PD investigates deadly hit-and-run crash in Oliver Park South
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City police are investigating the details behind a deadly hit-and-run crash that took place in Oliver Park South on Sunday.
A driver had struck a man in the area of SE 44th Street and High Avenue, according to Newson6. The driver did not render aid and immediately fled the scene. Police and ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene around 3:00 a.m.
After arriving at the scene, EMS crews transported the man to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police are actively searching for the suspect and their vehicle.
As of this writing, the victim’s name has not been released.
3 hospitalized following multi-vehicle wreck in OKC’s College Park
NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – EMS personnel transported three people to an area hospital after a multi-vehicle wreck in College Park on Monday.
The collision, involving three vehicles, occurred around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 115th Street and North Western Avenue, News9 reports.
The impact of the crash left the three people with blunt force trauma. Their physical conditions are unknown at this time.
First responders shut down northbound traffic on Western Avenue to allow crews to clean up debris from the crash and to accommodate the police’s investigation process.
Officials are working to determine how the crash unfolded.
Man, 60, killed in tractor-trailer crash in Canute
CANUTE, OK – A 60-year-old man was killed in a tractor-trailer crash that happened on I-40 West near mile marker 48 after 1:00 p.m. on Monday., KOCO said.
Preliminary details from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicate that the 60-year-old man, who was driving a tractor-trailer, had crashed into a cable barrier, which is what caused his truck to flip over.
The male driver did not wear his seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene. He has since been identified as a resident from Elk City. Troopers confirmed he was the sole occupant of his vehicle.
OK DOT crews close majority of I-240 in OKC due to collision
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews had to close the majority of I-240 along I-35 due to a collision on Tuesday.
According to KOCO, the crash occurred in a construction zone and involved three vehicles. Tow truck crews removed two of the vehicles from the site.
First responders have not specified if anyone was injured, nor did they say how the crash occurred.
During the closures, divers were permitted to take one open lane. Crews have cleared the scene of the crash and have since reopened all lanes.
Delays linger on Lake Hefner Pkwy. in OKC following crash
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic delays lingered on northbound Lake Hefner Parkway after 63rd Street as a result of a Tuesday morning crash.
The Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City division first announced the crash at 8:05 a.m. and said delays could also be seen on the Northwest Expressway.
