Jury finds man guilty for fatal DUI crash near Vienna Woods in September
TULSA, OK – A jury found a man guilty of a deadly DUI crash that claimed the life of a man near E 71st St and S Yale Ave on September 29, 2022, according to FOX 23.
The defendant was driving while drunk with a blood alcohol level over five times the legal limit when he rear-ended the victim’s car, which was sitting a red light, at over 70 miles per hour.
The collision caused the victim’s car to catch on fire, killing the victim instantly.
A jury found the defendant guilty of second-degree murder and DUI-second offense. They recommended 35 years for the second-degree murder conviction and four and a half years for the DUI conviction.
Sentencing will be held on February 21.
