2 teens injured after driver of stolen car crashes while eluding police in east Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Two teens were hurt when the driver of a stolen red Kia occupied by four teens crashed into a utility pole near E Pine St and N Garnett Rd on Thursday, according to KTUL.

The police chase began around near Admiral and Harvard around 3 p.m. It ended when the driver slammed into a utility pole around 3:10 p.m.

Emergency crews extricated two teens from the Kia and transported them to an area hospital. One teen fled the crash on foot and was apprehended by authorities around 3:30 p.m. Another teen was arrested at the scene.

One of the teens was wearing body armor. Authorities also discovered narcotics in the vehicle.

Two of the suspects were 14-year-olds and two were 17-year-olds.
