Troopers investigate deadly single-car crash on Hardesty Rd in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, OK – A man died following a single-vehicle collision on Hardesty Rd on Tuesday, according to KOKH.

A 36-year-old man was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima east on Hardesty Rd when he failed to negotiate a curve and strayed off the road before crashing into a tree around 11:23 a.m.

The driver was pinned inside the Altima for over two hours before rescue crews extricated him from the vehicle. They pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
